KSD Municipality hosted a Staff Heritage Parade and Happy Dance Competition. The event was held at both Mthatha on the 23 September 2020 and Mqanduli offices on the 01 October 2020.

According to director for Corporate Services Department Mr. Simlindile Nodo, the purpose of the event was aimed to alleviate stress levels of the employees and show support towards fight against Gender Based Violence and to give hope to all employees as some have lost their loved ones and others contracted Covid-19.

The event was also part of commemorating the National Heritage Day. Employees showed up dressed in their traditional attires and walked the red carpet before the judges. Part of the judges was Mthatha-born Mr South Africa Top 15 Finalist, Hlumisa Ngqeleni.

Ms Noluvuyo Mqolo (Mthatha) and Ms Nolusapho Kala (Mqanduli) became the best dressed female winners while Mr. Bongani Mfazwe (Mthatha) and Mr Zonakele Ntonga (Mqanduli) won the best male categories. The winners walked away with food and cosmetic hampers.
