King Sabata Dalindyebo Local Municipality subsequent to the signing of Climate Change Bill into Law by the President has followed suit to establish and launch KSDLM Youth Clinate Change Council.
The municipality remains the first local municipality to establish a Council championed by youth to fight against Climate Change.
The program involved the debate of all Schools within KSDLM about Climate change and three winners were awarded with prizes.
The council will sit quarterly to advocate against Global warming and Climate Change. This is a symbolic gesture against the deadly climate change.
Among the adjudicators were Eastern Cape Parks and Tourism agency, Walter Sisulu University, Department of Economic Development and Department of Forestry, Fisheries and Environment
