KSD Executive Mayor, Cllr. G.N. Nelani handed over to the contractor to complete the construction of the Great Place Lower Ngqwarha Community Hall in Ward 29, today.
The project is a construction of a 365 square metres community hall which includes an admin clerk office, a kitchen, main hall, the boardroom and main office then the ablution blocks with three female and three male toilets, including urinaries and one for people living with disability.
The scope of work includes the completion of the building’s upper structure, doors, windows, roofing, ablutions and fencing. This three-month project is awarded to Vitsha Trading, Takitsi as ISD Consultant, LP Health and Safety as OHS Consultant. A minimum of 20 local people will benefit in terms of employment opportunities, as well as two SMMEs.
