KSD Executive Mayor, Cllr Nyaniso Nelani visited Efata School for the Blind and Deaf today to hand over assistive and educational equipment that will contribute to the quality of learning for visually and hearing-impaired learners and to also assist them to complete their day-to-day activities. The tools included Talking Calculators, Walking Sticks, Money Template, Liquid level Indicators, Braille Boards, Braille Paper, Needle Threaders and Signature Stamps.
Speaking at the handover, Executive Mayor commended the school’s teachers and other support staff for their hard work, dedication and support provided to learners. He also urged learners to study hard and succeed. The Executive Mayor was accompanied by the Acting MMC for Social Services and Special Programmes, Cllr Ziyanda Nokayi, who is the Portfolio Head for Infrastructure.
