The King Sabata Dalindyebo Municipality Rural and Economic Development Department convened a Local Economic Development Forum on the 4th of March 2025.
The LED Forum’s focus was the Agricultural Sector and received presentations from DRDAR, Grain SA, Eyoluntu Market Agency, COEGA Development Corporation and ECRDA among others.
Agriculture related issues were robustly engaged on such as the prevention of stock theft, grain improvement measures, agricultural training programs, strategies of market access, funding opportunities and support programs for small farmer enterprises.
Participants also shared their experiences and challenges in navigating the local economy and discussed ways to work together to create a more vibrant and thriving community.
The LED Forum is a platform created to discuss initiatives to support small businesses, improve workforce development and attract new investment opportunities to the area.
