KSD Municipality in partnership with the Department of Tourism held a three-day Service Excellence, Small Town Capacity Building Workshop in Mthatha, Garden Court, from the 6th to the 8th of August 2024.
The purpose of this workshop was to bring partners and stakeholders together to engage on initiatives that will aid service excellence in small towns, in the tourism sphere.
In his opening, LED MMC, Cllr. M. Dudumayo emphasized the importance of the gathering by stating that in such platforms, businesses learn to tackle challenges and grow. He also encourages unity among the stakeholders, by outlining how government, business, communities can work hand in glove to conquer challenges this sector faces.
All the findings will be combined to compile a document that will be presented to stakeholders for solutions that will be both visible and actionable, going forward.
