In a boost for local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMMEs), KSD Municipality and Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa have partnered to launch the Bizniz in a Box programme. The programme led to the signing of contracts by 15 KSD food outlets.
This strategic initiative forms part of the Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa commendable programme aimed at supporting and fostering the growth of emerging businesses within local communities.
Through this program, Coca-Cola intends to support the Small, Medium, and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs) that are in the food trading industry by renovating their businesses and providing mobile kitchens and business equipment. These beneficiaries will also go for Coca-cola Incubation programme.
Speaking at the contract signing event on Tuesday, 7 October 2025 at Mthatha Stadium, Rural and Economic Development General Manager, Ms. Boni emphasized the importance of businesses registering and obtaining permits in order to be eligible for assistance and funding opportunities.
