The two days strategic management retreat started from 06 to 07 January 2026 was energised by the presence of the Executive Mayor, Cllr G.N Nelani.
Delivering his welcoming remarks, the Executive Mayor outlined key service delivery issues and emphasised the important role of administration in carrying out council policies and implementing council resolutions. He also encouraged management to work together as a united team in improving service delivery expected by King Sabata Dalindyebo community.
After the Executive Mayor’s speech, the Municipal Manager Mr N Pakade took up the floor and gave a purpose for the Management Retreat.
In his address, the Municipal Manager highlighted the need for unity and teamwork within the administration staff to build a strong and accountable Municipality. He also encouraged Municipal staff to be skilled in order to move with the changing times so that they must be relevant in their daily operations.
The outcomes of the retreat are intended to form part of the upcoming KSD Municipality Strategic Planning processes and guide management in driving sustainable development, improved service delivery and meaningful economic growth for the benefit of all communities within King Sabata Dalindyebo Municipality.
