The King Sabata Dalindyebo Municipality, in collaboration with Mango Media and other stakeholders hosted a three-day film workshop at Mthatha Stadium.
The purpose of the workshop was to establish a network of rural and township filmmakers dedicated to creating and distributing locally relevant content across various genres, specifically targeting emerging township markets in South Africa.
MMC for Rural Economic Development Cllr. M. Dudumayo stated that this film workshop is a crucial step towards unlocking the creative potential of our local filmmakers. He added that, nurturing that creativity is of utmost importance and the Municipality fully supports the initiative and look forward to seeing the positive impact in communities.
