KSD Executive Mayor has handed over the construction of Gadlela-Xhorha Mission, Daki to Makhamisa, Road from kwaMfamana, Mehlomane Zwelebhunga Clinic gravel road to the contractor in Ward 21.
The contractor to carry out this project is Zumit Trading. Two SMMEs will be subcontracted.
The scope of the project includes the construction of 10km long by 5m wide including approximately 800 mm of 150 mm thick reinforced concrete slab, Site establishment, Clearing and grabbing, Gravel wearing course 150mm layer of G7 quality material stormwater drainage, mitre drains, installation of stormwater culverts minimum of 600mm diameter, stone pitching and gabion baskets.
The project is for the duration of eight months with twenty-five job opportunities for local people at R200 daily wage rate, and out of this twenty-five, ten people will be trained and accredited.
