The Municipality successfully hosted a Mayoral Imbizo on 20 March 2026 at Marhambeni, Ward 11, bringing together community members, municipal leadership, and key stakeholders to discuss service delivery matters and local development priorities.
The Imbizo formed part of the KSD Municipality’s ongoing commitment to strengthening communication with residents and creating a platform for direct engagement between the Municipal Leadership and the community. Residents were afforded an opportunity to raise concerns, ask questions, and provide input on issues affecting their area, including infrastructure development, basic services, and community safety.
During the engagement, the Executive Mayor, Cllr N. Nelani reaffirmed the municipality’s dedication to responsive governance, accountability, and improving the quality of life for all residents. Municipality together with sector departments also provided feedback on current projects and outlined planned interventions aimed at addressing community challenges.
Community members welcomed the initiative, highlighting the importance of open dialogue between government and citizens.
The municipality will continue hosting outreach programmes to ensure communities remain informed, involved, and empowered in local governance processes.
