King Sabata Dalindyebo Municipality’s Municipal Public Accounts Committee (MPAC) has held its 3rd ordinary meeting at KSD Municipal Council Chambers on Monday, 9 March 2026.
Opening the meeting, the chairperson of the committee Councillor Makhosandile Majeke said “we meet during the month in which the world commemorates International Women’s Day, observed annually on the 8th of March.
This important day reminds us of the immense contribution of women in society, governance, and economic development.
As a municipality, we reaffirm our commitment to the empowerment of women, the promotion of gender equality, and the fight against all forms of discrimination and gender-based violence. Women continue to play a vital role in our communities, in leadership, and in shaping the future of our municipality”
Service delivery and governance reports were tabled which included:
– Section 52d Report
– MPAC Oversite Report
– APAC Resolution Register
– Internal Audit Tracking Register,
– Risk Register,
– Audit Action Plan,
– Unauthorised, Irregular, Fruitless and Wasteful expenditure reports,
Detailing the progress made in terms of implementing previous resolutions to improve service delivery development projects which are aiming at improving services to KSD Municipality communities.
According to the plan of the Municipal Public Accounts Committee, is aiming at ensuring that KSD administration is sound and serving KSD communities better in order to ensure a stable environment.
