Pay your rates and services account
You can pay your rates and services account in a number of ways.
Pay in person
You can pay at any of the following:
- Municipal cash office/walk-in centre;
- Shoprite, Checkers, USave, Pick n Pay, PEP, Ackermans, Lewis, and selected Spar stores.
Remember
Take a copy of your municipal account with you.
Schedule a debit order
You can schedule a debit order to take place on the 7th, 15th or the last working day of the month. Contact our call centre on 047 495 1037 for help, or visit one of our cash offices/walk-in centres.
If you need to amend your debit order or cancel it, download and complete the Debit Order Amendment Form.
You will also need to provide:
- A copy of your ID
- Proof of banking details
Query your account
If you have any questions related to your account or the amount you owe, or if you would like to dispute your account, you can visit any of our cash offices/walk-in centres or call 047 495 1270 for more information.
Keep the reference number you’re provided with, to track the progress of your query.
Make sure you have:
a copy of your municipal account; proof of identity; your business partner number (top left of your account statement).
Overdue accounts
If your account is overdue, and your water and/or electricity supply has been restricted or disconnected, make payment as soon as possible so your supply can be reconnected.
You can pay your overdue account in person or via EFT, as stated above.
Once you’ve settled the full outstanding amount, email your proof of payment to @ksd.gov.za, to have your services reconnected.

Request a copy of your account
You can contact our call centre to request a copy of your account. We can only assist you if you do not have more than three different account numbers and you do not request more than 12 copies. If you want more than 12 copies of your accounts, we will need to log a request and this can take 48 hours or more to process.
