Public Meeting Held on KSD Ward Delimitation

The King Sabata Dalindyebo Municipality held a public meeting to discuss the proposed changes to the ward delimitation of KSD Municipality. The meeting was held on Friday, 11 April 2025, at Mthatha Town Hall and was attended by residents and stakeholders from across the KSD community.

In his welcoming remarks, the KSD Executive Mayor, Cllr Nyaniso Nelani emphasized the importance of public consultation in the process and encouraged residents to provide feedback and suggestions.

During the meeting, Ms Ayanda Ntamo from Municipal Demarcation Board provided an overview of the proposed changes and explained the rationale behind the proposed changes.

Communities had a chance to voice their opinions regarding the proposed ward boundaries. Further consultations will be conducted in all wards, and communities are expected to provide feedback to the Municipal Demarcation Board before the end of June 2025.

In closing, KSD Speaker of Council, Cllr Nomamfengu Siyo-Sokutu, encouraged community members to register to vote, as the number of registered voters determines the size of the wards.
