Miss KSD Young Women Development Pageant which was hosted on Saturday, 21 November 2020 at BT Ngebs Mall is an educational programme aimed at promoting moral regeneration, patriotism, culture and leadership development of young women.
The official Miss KSD Young Women Development Pageant was started in 2007. The Pageant is not only about physical beauty, but also mainly involves intellect, social responsibility programmes, cultural awareness, promotion of education, moral regeneration, prevention of early or teenage pregnancy, economic empowerment and leadership development.
We are proud to present to you our winners, Miss KSD 2020/21 Hlumela Ndayi who is a Medical Sciences Student from Ikwezi Extension in Ward 3, 1st Princess is Pretty Mqolweni from Ikhwezi Township in Ward 1, currently studying Honours Degree in Animal Science and the 2nd Princes is Okuhle Silizukise Phongomile, Nursing Science student from Futye Location in Mqanduli Ward 21.
The Queen won R10 000 cash from Meyers Motors and Peugeot, tuition bursary from KSD Municipality, Laptop from Xerox, tablet and smartphone from Vodacom and sweater from Lira Design.
2nd prize was R5000 for Driver’s license from Meyers Motors and Peugeot, Laptop; Tablet and smartphone from Vodacom. The 3rd prize includes R3500 from Law For All, laptop, tablet and a smartphone from Vodacom.
