Eastern Cape Premier Oscar Mabuyane, MPL Nontuthuzelo Maqhubela Chair of Chairs in Portfolio Committee on Education and Public Works and Infrastructure MEC Ntombovuyo Nkopane visited Gobizizwe Agricultural High School in Ward 10 as part of the Back to School Campaign. The visit was held on Thursday, 19 January 2023.
The purpose of this visit was to bring donations and intervene in the state of readiness for teaching and learning at the Gobizizwe Agricultural High School.
In his opening remarks, the King Sabata Dalindyebo Municipality’s Acting Executive Mayor, MMC for Public Safety Cllr Marasha stated that this initiative is supported by KSD. He also touched on KSD Municpality’s aspiration to be a Metro and stated that this status will better serve the people of KSD.
The donations brought forward included,150 boxes of Sanitary Towels and 100 school backpacks from the Office of the Premier, 2 Jojo Tanks, 3 Spades, 3 Fork Spades and 100 Dignity Packs from Al Imdaad Foundation. Zen Tsengwa brought 50 scientific calculators and 1000 seedlings (250 of beetroot, onion, spinach and cabbage) from DRDAR.
