KSD Municipality in partnership with Eskom had on the 18 January 2023 visited Upper-Ngqwarha in Ward 29 to formally introduce the contractor that will embark on a project to provide 244 houses with electricity in Wards 28,29,31,32 and 35.
The project will commence this week and is expected to be completed by the end of March this year. The project will also provide job opportunities for at least 20 community members. The Community Liaison Officer will be appointed to be a link between the contractor, the municipality, and the community.
Addressing the community, MMC for Infrastructure, Cllr Z. Nokayi mentioned that the municipality is committed to its primary goal of improving the quality of life in KSD communities and bringing about service delivery to the people.
