The King Sabata Dalindyebo Municipality Council passed a resolution to allocate funds from its annual budget to support community initiatives aimed at socioeconomic upliftment and poverty alleviation.
As a result, KSD Executive Mayor Cllr. G.N. Nelani had on 20 February 2023, visited Mpeko A/A, Ward 14 to handover 200 chairs, 500 chicks, 20 bags of Pig Feed as well as 20 bags of Poultry Feed (Broiler Starter, Grower and Broiler Finisher) to twelve community projects of Ward 14.
The Executive Mayor also took time to update the communities of Ward 14 about the progress made in relation to the development of the Wild Coast SEZ with phase 1 (Fencing) completed while phase 2 (bulk infrastructure) is in progress.
Additionally, the Executive Mayor encouraged communities to organize themselves to revitalize agricultural activities and commercial farming as there will be a multi – user agro – processing incubator in one of the facilities to be developed in the Spatial Economic Zone.
