KSD Municipality had on the 25th of June 2024 conducted a Mayoral Imbizo at Msana Village under Ward 18. The Mayoral Imbizo was led by Executive Mayor, Cllr Nyaniso Nelani.
The objective of the Imbizo was to engage with the Msana community and address their concerns regarding service delivery challenges.
In his address, Executive Mayor highlighted municipal initiatives designed to create jobs and better the lives of KSD communities such as the Wild Coast Special Economic Zone (SEZ), the DICLA agricultural youth programme and the Spaza Shop Support Programme. Also, the upgrade of the KSD Municipality to being a secondary city which will qualify it to apply for more grants that will drive service delivery programmes.
Communities had an opportunity to raise their service delivery concerns, to which departments provided them with answers.
Furthermore, a follow-up will be made on some of the issues raised by the Msana residents.
Sector departments formed part of the programme and provided services on wheels. The departments include Home Affairs, Social Development, SAPS, Correctional Services, Health, Education, Human Settlements, Justice, Rural Development Land and Reform, Eskom and OR Tambo District Municipality.
