King Sabata Dalindyebo Municipality in partnership with the National Department of Tourism held on 11 September 2024 a Session at Hotel Savoy.
This session aims to bring together KSD leaders and practitioners (in tourism, focusing on KSD Municipality) who are involved in the service sectors, to share information and expertise in effective servicing.
The following presentations were tabled: Overview of KSD Municipality Tourism, Tourism White Paper, Women in Tourism, Case Study on Hospitality and Women Empowerment in Tourism, Safety and Liaison, Overview of Service Excellence & Norms and Standards in the Tourism Sector, Tourism Complaints Management, Tourism B-BBEE Compliance, Tourism Incentive Program, Tourism Liaison and Marketing, Pollution and Waste Management, Consumer Protection & Redress and Tourism Signage.
This is to showcase various opportunities to various stakeholders (business formations and the hospitality industry) to enhance their services and attract tourism to our area. More other opportunities were explored including hosting OR Tambo DM Tourism Indaba before the Durban ICC Indaba in the current financial year 2025/26 with the assistance of Tourism SA.
