King Sabata Dalindyebo Local Municipality, as part of its Waste and Environmental Education Campaign, has started its urban and neighbourhood beautification program to change the aesthetic outlook and scenic beauty of its towns.
The campaign involved cleaning of ranks, maintenance of ablution facilities, clearing of illegal dumps, beautification of town entrances, planting of indigenous trees and horticultural maintenance of Mqanduli Town Hall.
Among the stakeholders who attended were the Department of Economic Development and Environmental Affairs Taxi Association, Hawkers, Non-governmental organizations, Ward Committees, and the general public.
