In efforts to enhance the quality of life for its residents, KSD Municipality, in collaboration with Eskom, has officially introduced the service providers, MVSR Azam Electronic and David and Sons, to undertake the electrification project aimed at providing consistent and reliable electricity access to residents of Ward 18, Ward 19 and Ward 35.
This project highlights the municipality’s efforts to boost local economy through better infrastructure.
The project is expected to benefit 387 households, enabling them to access electricity for essential needs such as lighting, heating, and cooking, thereby fostering better living conditions and overall community wellbeing.
KSD Executive Mayor, Cllr Nyaniso Nelani stated that by increasing access to electricity, residents can take advantage of educational and economic opportunities that were previously limited. As the municipality embarks on this transformative journey, it reaffirms its dedication to fostering a more equitable and sustainable future for all its citizens.
The project is expected to create 20 job opportunities during its five months implementation span.
