KSD Municipality is rolling out the first trial of paver usage. This follows the purchase of this game changer machine by the municipality to improve the maintenance of our urban roads. The machine was purchased with a tune of R18 million including the scrapper machine.
The trial is being rolled out at Seagull Road in Southernwood where road resurfacing and overlaying is undertaken. The project also serves as a training programme for our operators and the training is provided by the manufacturing company of the machine.
The project started on Friday, 08 April 2022 and is planned to be completed by end of April 2022.
The plant will assist the municipality towards fulfilling its commitment of providing quality services to all communities.
