The Chief Operations Office is responsible for :

• Promoting a clean and accountable governance.
• Co-ordination and implementation of Integrated Development Planning.
• Implementation and monitoring of Performance Management System.
• Promoting public participation in the decision making and activities of the Municipality.
• Ensuring inclusion and implementation of Special Programmes by the Municipality.
• Ensuring the implementation of intergovernmental relations to promote alignment of government plans and programmes.
• Provision of administrative support to the Offices of the Executive Mayor, the Speaker, the Chief Whip of Council and the Chairperson of the Municipal Public Accounts Committee (MPAC).
