KSD Municipality takes budget to residents

The King Sabata Dalindyebo Municipality has presented its proposed Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and Budget for the financial year 2022/23. The drafts are now being taken to communities for public comment.

As a result, a number of ward-based community meetings are being held to allow locals to participate in and express their opinions on the plans of the municipality. The sessions began on April 28, 2022 and are scheduled to end on May 17, 2022.

Residents and ratepayers are urged to attend and participate in these engagement sessions in order to contribute to the Municipality’s efforts to provide the best possible services to the community of KSD.

Public participation assists the municipality in gathering public feedback on municipal services and making required improvements.

The copy of draft budget is available in the foyers of all municipal buildings, as well as all public libraries within the KSD Municipality. The public can also acquire additional information on the proposed budget and tariffs for the 2022-2023 financial year by visiting the KSD Municipal website at www.ksd.gov.za.
