Office of The Municipal Manager
The Municipal Manager heads and leads the King Sabata Dalindyebo Municipality administration and is responsible for the execution of the Municipal Council policies.
He heads a total of more than four thousand six hundred (4600) employees. The main role of the Municipal Manager is to balance and align the administration of the Municipality with priorities and policies of the King Sabata Dalindyebo Municipality Council.
All senior managers report directly to the Municipal Manager and are responsible for the smooth running and operations of their departments/directorates. The Municipal Manager also provides guidance and support to the Internal Audit, Communications, Integrated Development Plan (IDP), Performance Management, Intergovernmental Relations, Risk Management and Legal Services Divisions.Â
For achievement of the Municipality’s major and most important goal, Service delivery, the office of the Municipal Manager works closely with and advises the Office of the Executive Mayor and the Office of the Speaker.
- Working closely with the Legal Division, the office of the Municipal Manager makes sure that the municipality follows the relevant legislation and the prescribed legal requirements to put the Municipality on the right side of the law at all times.
- Working closely with the Communications Division, the office of the Municipal Manager ensures that all the municipality’s programmes and successes are communicated to all ratepayers and other stakeholders of this Municipality.
- And working closely with the Internal Auditors, the office of the Municipal Manager ensures that each and every employee and department is efficient, transparent and accountable in all its operations.
