Government Supports 60 Mqanduli Informal Traders with Business Equipment

The Minister of Small Business Development, Ms Stella Ndabeni through King Sabata Dalindyebo Municipality handed over business-based equipment in Mqanduli.

A total number of 60 beneficiaries benefited from the Informal and Micro Enterprise Development Program (IMEDP Program). This program provides 100% grants for tools and equipment for informal traders.

Its purpose is to improve the competitiveness and sustainability of informal traders and Micro enterprises through the provision of these tools, machinery and equipment.

The beneficiaries represent a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, agriculture, cleaning services, catering, and information technology.

Cooking stoves, a refrigerator, pots, serving dishes, water tanks, a generator, laptops, a printer, a camera, grass cutters, and a wheelbarrow are among the significant equipment received by the entrepreneurs to boost their businesses.
